Foreign license: 90 days
A valid foreign driver's license with a motorcycle category is accepted for 90 days from your arrival. If it is not in English, carry an International Driving Permit or an official translation.
Staying longer than 90 days
Convert your license at an LTO office: application form, medical certificate, passport with visa, and the original license. Expect a few hours and a fee of around PHP 700-1,500.
Helmets and checkpoints
Helmets are mandatory for rider and passenger under RA 10054. Police checkpoints are common; riding without a valid license brings fines for both rider and owner, so every rental starts with a license check.
