Monthly Scooter Rental in Cebu: 2026 Guide for Expats, Nomads and Students

What a monthly scooter costs in Cebu, what is included, renting vs buying, fuel, and the 90-day license rule.

If you are in Cebu for a month or longer, a monthly scooter is usually the cheapest and fastest way to get around IT Park, Lahug, Banilad and the rest of Metro Cebu. Here is what to expect in 2026.

What it costs

A 125cc automatic scooter rents for about PHP 9,500-11,000 a month in Metro Cebu; 155-160cc models (NMAX, ADV) cost PHP 12,500-18,000. Our 2025 Honda Click 125 is PHP 10,000 a month from May - Nov and PHP 12,000 from Dec - Apr. That is about 333 pesos a day, against 500 for a single day.

What is included

  • Two helmets and third-party insurance (CTPL).
  • Maintenance during the rental: tell us when something feels off and we sort it out.
  • Delivery across Metro Cebu on request; the fee depends on distance and is agreed in WhatsApp.

Not included: fuel, parking fees, traffic fines, and damage or theft (that is what the deposit is for).

Fuel

The Click 125 has a 5.5-litre tank. With 2026 pump prices swinging between roughly PHP 72 and 100 a litre, a full tank costs about PHP 400-550 and lasts most city riders a week or more.

Renting vs buying

A new Honda Click 125 lists at around PHP 82,000-90,000 in 2026, roughly eight months of rent. Buying also means registration, insurance renewal, repairs and selling it when you leave. For stays under a year, renting is simpler.

Staying longer than 90 days?

A foreign license is valid for 90 days from arrival. After that you need a Philippine license from the LTO, see our license guide.

Tips for a smooth month

  • Ask your condo about motorbike parking before the bike arrives.
  • Take photos of the bike at handover; we do the same.
  • Book early for December-April, the high season.
